Hydrodôme and Hydrojet are patented water spray and fire-spread prevention systems, designed for easy installation on rooftops without drilling, by sliding their hooks under the ridge tiles.

Our systems are designed to project a 360° curtain of treated water to effectively protect the exterior and the roof of a house or building against fire outbreaks, embers, or nearby fire spread.

They help prevent or slow the ignition of roofs, facades, and exposed combustible elements in high-risk areas such as rural zones, forested regions, or areas subject to extreme weather events.

Hydrojet is a spraying system designed to support and enhance the action of the Hydrodôme. While the Hydrodôme provides direct protection to the home or structure by countering thermal radiation and creating a continuous water barrier around it, the Hydrojet acts as a complementary system, delivering longer-range spraying directly onto the surrounding land.

In the Hydrojet video, multiple models were being tested. These are not sold as individual kits, as their effectiveness relies on joint use with a Hydrodôme, which is essential for neutralizing the thermal radiation directed toward the home.

The Hydrojet system consists of a spray ramp used at minimum in combination with a Hydrodôme. Each system can project a 360° water jet with an adjustable range of 5 to 15 meters, typically reaching 10 to 15 meters under optimal conditions. This extended projection makes it possible to cover the sides of the land or the immediate surroundings of the house.

The Hydrodôme and the Hydrojet: the “coolant liquid” for your home in the face of wildfires

When a vegetation fire approaches, the heat threatening your home does not come only from direct contact with flames.
The thermal radiation from a fire front several meters high can, even at a distance of 15 meters, raise the temperature of facades, joinery, and roofs to levels capable of causing spontaneous ignition.

Example: near a fire 10 meters high, radiative exposure can reach 20 to 40 kW/m², sometimes more. A combustible surface can reach 300 °C or more in just a few minutes—a temperature at which wood and certain materials ignite without direct flame contact.

How our system works: the principle of “evaporative cooling”

Like the coolant in a car that circulates to absorb and dissipate heat from the engine via a radiator, our system (the Hydrodôme in particular) projects water combined with a wetting–foaming additive, Biofor, around the house to absorb and disperse heat from the flames before it reaches the structure.

Similarities with a coolant liquid:

  1. Thermal absorption: the water absorbs the heat instead of sensitive materials (walls, wood, roofing).

  2. Protection of structural integrity: just as an engine does not overheat, the house does not reach its ignition point.

  3. Optimizing additive:

    • In an engine → anti-corrosion and antifreeze agents.

    • In our system → Bio For, to improve water adhesion on surfaces, slow down drying, and increase its capacity to dissipate heat—an additional cooling effect combined with the natural coolness of your water reserve.

The difference: our system operates in an open circuit. The sprayed water evaporates upon contact with hot air and surfaces, and it is this evaporation that absorbs a large amount of energy (the principle of evaporative cooling), creating a thermal barrier.

Two complementary approaches

  • Hydrodôme: a 360° circular system mounted on the roof, creating a uniform water curtain all around the home. Ideal for blocking thermal radiation, keeping surfaces moist, and intercepting embers.

Hydrojet: an adjustable device, fixed or mobile, designed to saturate surrounding vegetation and soil with water, limiting the fire’s progression toward the structure.

(We can also design custom configurations, e.g., 1 central Hydrojet and 2 lateral 360° Hydrodômes.)

Enhanced effectiveness thanks to Bio For N

The Bio For additive (Class A wetting–foaming agent, biodegradable and fluorine-free) enables:

  • Improved water adhesion on vertical and sloped surfaces.

  • A longer protection time thanks to slower drying.

  • Improved penetration into porous materials and vegetation.

  • Better neutralization of embers and small flames.

Benefits for homeowners and emergency services

  • Drastic reduction of the thermal flux received by the house.

  • Blocking radiation and keeping surfaces below the critical ignition threshold.

  • Indirect support to firefighters: an actively protected home frees up resources to fight the main fire front.

In summary, the Hydrodôme and the Hydrojet act like an active cooling system for your home, creating a protective envelope capable of absorbing and dispersing heat from a wildfire, while keeping surfaces wet to delay or prevent ignition.
